The Campus Inn

This is a little motel that sits just off of River Road near campus. For years I used to drive by it on gameday and see the opposing teams fans sitting in the parking lot tailgating. This motel has an old school feel to it. By the end of this year I think that it will be torn down along with a lot of the area right around it. They are making everything taller down here, and anything in the way will be gone. This motel survived the last renovation of this area, but will not be so lucky this time.

Documenting The Area

I have been having some fun making photos of these businesses that are coming down. I look at it a bit like documenting history. When they are gone and the high rise buildings take their place I will have some photos of what the area used to look like. For a while last year I was writing a history post every Thursday. I thought that the idea was limiting me though so I decided that I can learn and post whenever I like. This area will soon be history so any photo that I make down here will reflect that.
