A Lunar Halo In The Corridor

One Of My Most Photographed Spots On Campus

I have made more photos in this spot which I have always called the corridor. It is a great spot on campus with the Mackey offices and practice space on the left, Mackey Arena straight ahead, and Holloway Gymnasium on the right. Here it was in the perfect spot to show off the halo around the moon. Another great thing about this spot is that I can get here fairly quickly, and there is plenty of parking at night. I didn’t know how long the halo would last so time was not something that I wanted to waste. I am glad that I was finally able to make a different type of photo from this same spot.

Getting Out To Make The Photo

I had originally made a photo of the lunar halo from my yard. It was just the halo in the sky with nothing else around it. I knew that I wanted to get to sleep so I thought that it would be good enough. The second that my head hit the pillow I knew that I was wrong. I am glad that I went out and made the photo. I  ended up with a couple of photos that I really liked from it.
