Ruby Is My First Photo Of 2024

As the sun was setting on New Year’s Day I went out to the Celery Bog to see Ruby. With the cloud cover the sunset looked like it was not going to be great. I knew that I could make a photo of Ruby if she was out, and the blue hour background would look cool. Every year I try and make Ruby my first Celery Bog photo of the year. This year I made one that I liked right away. I talked on Monday about how I just haven’t felt that drive to make photos out there lately. I really wanted to make this photo on Monday, and I am glad that I went out there. Maybe some of that drive will return in 2024.

Putting Importance On Photos

Yesterday I posted my last photo of 2023. Today you get to see my first photo of 2024. I should not put this kind of importance on any particular photo. Over the course of the year I will make thousands of photos. It is nice to make a good one to end the year. With all of the optimism of the new year it is also fun to make a good photo to start the year.
