Conducting Trains At The Haan Museum

The Train Sets At The Haan Museum

Earlier this week we made another visit to the Haan Museum to see the Christmas displays. I love the Haan museum decorated for the holidays. One of the draws for my little one is the train sets in the rooms upstairs. While she checked everything out in the room I made this photo of one of the scenes. I really love the look of this house. It has such a cool historic feel to it that nearly every photo inside of it looks great. I really need to do more photo work inside of this house.

An Expert Tour

Last year we were given a tour of the museum by Bob Haan who owns the home. He was great, and he even let me little one in on the secret of where you could control the train sets at. He let her change the speed and the direction of the trains. To a nine year old that is a big responsibility and pretty amazing. The year Bob’s wife Ellie showed us around the museum. We learned a lot about the home again on this tour as you don’t have a much better source at where everything came from than the person who purchased it. I love that Bob and Ellie are there giving tours. To me it makes the whole experience so much better.
