A Surprise Snokeh
Monday morning I usually try and do paperwork and cleaning up the computer after a weekend of making photos. I was in the office with the blinds closed when the dog started barking out the window. I looked out and it was a blizzard. Paperwork became secondary as I grabbed my camera and a flash and hopped in the car to head down to Lafayette. On the way there it was snowing like crazy, but it pretty much let up by the time that I got to downtown. I kept running into small little showers though so I would find a photo that I liked and wait for the snow to start back up. It was nice to get some snokeh photos in though. Looking at the 10 day forecast on the weekend I didn’t see any time where I would have been able to make snokeh photos.
Changing Things Up A Bit
Over the course of the last couple of weeks I have seen photos of mine from downtown used for advertisements and other things. I got to the bottom of it and found that one local business was distributing my photos as their own. A better version of the photo above had been circulating for a while now including in some ads. With that in mind and against everything that I believe in I have started to watermark my photos. I have always been against them. I hate looking at a photo and seeing a watermark. When people are stealing from you though I don’t know what choice I have. It is weird how a business cannot see that they are stealing from another business. If I thought that something from a store would help my business I would buy it from the local business. Going into their store and taking it is not an option for me. It is a weird problem to have, and I need to find a better way to stop this from happening. Until I do a nasty watermark will appear on my photos.
