The West Lafayette String Orchestras Winter Concert

Last night I was at the Kelly Performing Arts Center watching my oldest perform her winter concert. It has been amazing over the years watching her group grow to the point where these concerts are very good. The sound they make together is amazing. This was a very cool concert punctuated by a very cool use of the works of Edgar Allan Poe for one song. These kids have come a long way from the days of playing in the cafeteria down the road.

Two Weeks Until The Big Day

Now we sit two weeks out from Christmas day. The music seems to mean more. Gatherings with family are being planned. This is what everything is about. This past weekend was a fun one taking some of that in. I am sure some photos of that will show up on the blog in the next few days. I am one of those crazy people who can’t wait to give out the gifts that I bought others. This last couple of weeks will be torture.
