Walking The Parade Route Again

As I said yesterday this is the third year in a row when my little one has walked in the Lafayette Christmas Parade as part of the Girl Scouts. It has been really fun to watch how she has grown from that timid kid the first year that was a little nervous about turning the corner onto Main Street into a confident Girl Scout handing out candy. I made this photo about halfway through the route. I was already thinking about a photo near the Lafayette Theater marquee, but this moment where she found something funny was much better than any photo that I could have made near the marquee. It is the little moments, and this is one of those.

The Christmas Blog

I really like turning this into a Christmas blog this time of the year. I really love the season so it makes sense. It also is a great way to give me a theme and a goal to get out and make some photos during the season. This year with starting early and doubling up every day that means about 50 photos ideas that I have to come up with. I could cheat and use something from the parade the entire time, but that defeats the purpose of getting out there to make the photos.
