A Rainy Morning At Purdue

Yesterday if you haven’t been able to tell by the last couple of posts was sort of a fun morning for me. I was out in the rain making reflection photos where I could find them. I knew that this would not be a perfect reflection photo because of the large green space in the photo, but the sidewalk on the left is reflecting the lights beautifully. I made it to the union at the perfect time with the blue hour sky perfectly opposing the golden lights of the scene. I have made a photo similar to this a lot over the years, but this might by my favorite take on it. The union is looking pretty good here.

Remaking The Hits

Every year I debate going back to the same places to make my Christmas photos. In one respect I have made the photos before. On the other hand campus changes so much that the same scenes can look completely different. I don’t know if I have made a good photo of the Union at Christmas like this since the renovation. the glistening sidewalks also helped me add a new element to the photo. Next year the union turns 100 so I am sure that I will be in a spot similar to this a few times over the course of the year.
