The Arrival Of The Purdue Memorial Union Christmas Tree

This has become a tradition for over a decade now covering the arrival of the Christmas tree to the Purdue Memorial Union. This year might have been the best day to make photos of it in that time. It usually is very overcast with very little sun to help light the scene. This year though the sun was out and I decided to stay outside longer to make more photos using that light. The last couple of years they have made making photographs inside not very fun so I had thought about not going inside. I am glad that I did this year though because I found some very nice people that made our short time inside very fun. Now that the tree is in the union they will spend a couple of days decorating it. Wednesday night they will light it up really starting the Purdue Christmas season. Later this week I will probably have some photos of the completed tree in the Union. I have a couple of events up that way making it easy to stop by for a few minutes to make some photos.

I Love A Good Christmas Tree

Sunday night we were watching Home Alone 2 as a family and hearing Kevin talk about Christmas trees sounded like something that I would say. I started going to this event for content. Now it has become a very fun tradition every year. This year I have started Christmas a little early. In the past I would say that this really started the season for me. It is still a fun way to realize that the Christmas season is finally here. Below are a few bonus photos from the tree arrival today.
