The Fowler Theater Dressed Up For The Holidays
This is a photo from the way back machine of the Fowler Theater dressed up for Christmas. I made this photo in 2011 during my photo a day quest. If you haven’t noticed already both posts today have a Christmas theme to them. I normally wait until December to start my Christmas photos on the blog, but I have been listening to Christmas music in the car for over a week now so I really have been ready for the holidays. With that in mind I plan on posting at least two Christmas themed images a day until Christmas. I love this time of the year, and it really photographs well too. It is a good way to get me out and making images.
The Old Gear Was Still Good Gear
If you are a gear person like me then you always want the newest and best equipment. For sports that can make a big difference. For a photo like this though it really doesn’t make as big of a difference that you would think it would. I made this image with my Canon 60D and the 18-135mm kit lens that came with it. Over a decade later the image still holds up. I still have that 60D, and I am always threatening to take it back out and make some images with it. Maybe I need to actually do that one of these days.
