An Unexpected Gift

A while back I was making a very familiar photo of the Armstrong statue at night trying to think of a new way to photograph it. I will admit that I was drawing a blank on how to do it. Then for some reason the light for the statue went out leaving me with Neil being very dark compared to the background. That was the little gift that I needed to make something a little different. I really like how this image turned out. Sometimes you just need a little help to get creative.

Think Happy Thoughts Today

Today is a day all about being thankful. It is pretty amazing what I get to do for a living. I always say that my first job is being a dad and my side job is being a photographer. They are both amazing jobs that I am thankful for. This weekend I will also be thankful for my expandable pants after what I plan on eating today.
