Having Some Fun In Mackey
Last weekend with the 1999 Championship team back on campus it brought back memories of that era of Purdue basketball. Mackey would sell out for women’s games. Even when they didn’t the crowd was impressive and loud. Last night there were a couple of moments where the crowd was really loud and it was fun to see again at a women’s game. The crowds have looked like they have been increasing, and I hope that trend continues as well. These games are so much more fun with about 14,000 of our closest friends enjoying the team with us.
A Great Resource
I have enjoyed reading Mike Carmin for years now. He has covered the Purdue women wonderfully for years. That coverage continues with his new project the Lafayette Sports Report. You can click here to check it out. Right now it is free to subscribe, and I promise that you will not regret it if you like Purdue women’s basketball.
More Photos From The Game
I had another event last night. In fact at one point I didn’t know if I would get to see any of the game. I tried to get there before the start of the second half, but missed that too. Even with limited time in Mackey I still had some fun. The team is heading to the Bahamas so it will be a while before we see them again. They are playing a really fun brand of basketball so get to Mackey and give them some support. Here are a few favorites from my time at the game.
