A Beautiful Night For A Walk Around Mackey Arena
Sometimes when the sky looks like it might light up I will grab my camera bag and head to campus. On this night I didn’t have much time so I parked near athletics as it is the easiest place to get to from my house. As I was heading to main campus the clouds really started to light up. I decided to make this photo of John Wooden and Mackey Arena. It let me show off the beautiful sky and this beautiful basketball arena. I love the way that CineStill 800T looks on scenes like this one.
A Canon Photographer Again?
I made this photo with my new to me Canon 620. It is a more recent film camera that uses the Canon line of EOS lenses. That is important because I kept a few of my old Canon lenses from when I was a Canon photographer. One of those was my 11-24mm lens that I loved. When I was switching over and selling my Canon gear I got a bunch of very low offers for the lens. It is still my favorite lens that I have ever used, and I decided that I wasn’t going to give it away. It has been in my camera closet waiting for the right moment. The Canon 620 lets me have some fun with my favorite lens again. I am sure that this combo will show up more on here in the future.
