Finding The Wells Memorial Library

This is one of those buildings that for some reason I had never been near in my time in this area. On my birthday after dinner I took a quick trip. I saw the top of the church next to this building so I went that way. I was on the sidewalk of this building facing the church when I realized that I was on the grounds of something else pretty cool. I just have a portion of the building for this post, but I wanted to head back here on a day with better light to photograph the outside again. It is such a cool place I wouldn’t mind seeing the inside of it too.

Another Scholer Building

Before starting this project I had never heard of the name Walter Scholer. Since starting it though it is a name that comes up quite often as I look at these older buildings. He really put his mark on the area. His master plan and campus plan has led to a lot of the buildings on the campus of Purdue. He also has some amazing structures like this one across the river. At some point I need to find a list of all of his buildings. That would make this project a little easier.
