A Comedy Fest In Town

I love comedy. Back in the day I was very into the stand up scene and knew a lot of the performers that would come through the local Funny Bone. Of course the Funny Bone is gone, and I moved down here to West Lafayette. For a few years Purdue would start the year with a comedy show. I saw Robin Williams, Jim Gaffigan, Lewis Black, and Bill Cosby all in Elliot. I loved those early year comedy shows. I don’t know why they stopped bringing in talent. This week Lafayette is turning into Laughayette for the week hosting comedy all over town. I am very excited for the Brian Regan show. I have loved Brian for years, and I will finally get to see him in person. I hope that they keep this going. Comedy seems to be dying off, but I love that our town is bringing it back. I made this photo about a week ago after getting dinner in downtown. This time of year is perfect for making some photos in some interesting light. I have made this photo too many times now, but I liked the idea of the comedy festival on the marquee and the story that I could tell with it.
