Taking A Walk On Campus On A Rainy Night
A while back I went for a walk in the rain on campus. I was hoping that the forecast was right, and that it would really rain for a while giving me some nice reflections to work with. That did not happen. I ended up only having a short period of rain to make photos in. Here though I had some fun with the arches and the lights on the Purdue Pharmacy Building. This was my test shot for a photo that I was making with my film camera. A rookie move loading that camera means that I will not have that photo to show you later on down the road. I really like how this turned out though. This is a cool building on campus, and in the past month or so I have made a couple of photos of it that I really liked.
Feeling It
I really have been feeling good about my photography lately. I made the choice to make photos for me, and that has really opened up my creativity. I am not as creative as a lot of photographers, but I am working on it. Here I was really pleased with how I saw the light, and how I had visualized this edit while on the scene. There is no better feeling than being confident about your work. That doesn’t happen to me very often, but I am there right now. Things are clicking for me, and it feels pretty good.
