The Carnegie Library On Portra 400

The Carnegie Library In Lebanon, Indiana

In the early 1900’s Andrew Carnegie was in the process of donating much of his wealth that he had acquired. Many small towns like Lebanon, Indiana benefited from that as Carnegie gave them the money to help build the town library. In this case his initial donation of 15,000 got things going, and this beautiful building is a great example of what you can do with your money. This is a beautiful structure that I would love to photograph again.

Another Spin With Portra 400

I really liked how my first photos on Portra 400 came out. I had bought a roll as a special treat for my birthday, and had a box of rolls purchased within a few minutes of seeing those first scans. The photos just have a great look to them that makes me want to make photos with it all of the time. It is not the cheapest of films though so I try and use it sparingly. Down in Indy I had the perfect excuse to break a roll of it out, and on my way home I stopped to finish the roll on a town that I had not really visited. I might have to take on a part time job just to finance my Portra habit.
