Forty Years Ago Today
Forty years ago today I was in my second grade classroom when I saw my grandfathers face in the window of the classroom door. I think that I remember not wanting to go to school that day because my brother would be born. Who am I kidding? I never wanted to go to school. That day thought I wanted to be at the hospital. I went to school, but I hoped that I would get out early so that I could see my new baby brother. My grandfather told me all that he knew about him on the drive over to the hospital. I was excited to meet him. I got to hold him which was pretty cool. Now that we live a couple of hours apart I don’t see him as much as I should. It was great seeing him again, although I didn’t hold him this time.
A Fun Trip To Indy
Last Saturday I made the trip to Indy to Guggman Haus for a surprise party for my brother. Today he turns forty years old. My little brother is over the hill. The good news is that several years ago I decided that I was now the younger brother so I am not there yet. I am pretty sure that is how it works. This was my first trip to Guggman Haus, and it is a pretty cool place. It is an even better place for a surprise birthday party.
