My Favorite Barn Just Outside Of Town

When I used to travel more I would stop and make a photo of this barn nearly every time that I went down to Indiana State to cover an event. The conditions were always different. On this day the weather was a little chilly, but the blue sky was perfect for a photo like this one. This was my first trip to the barn in quite some time and I was very pleased to see that they made the flag on the building much larger than the older one. That makes for an even better photo. I wonder if the Christmas wreath will be even bigger this year?

A Good Day To Feel Patriotic

As I talked about earlier today this is a day to reflect a bit. We were attacked 22 years ago. When my daughter asked about 9/11 and where I was I told her. YouTube must have been listening as they started to recommend videos for me to watch. One of those videos was the broadcast that I watched that morning. It is amazing how the human mind works, and all of those feelings came back to me. I was so mad that day that someone would do that to us. Watching that flag get raised on the site made me so proud to be an American. For a brief moment we came together as a country. The attacks were a very terrible thing. There is no other way to look at it. I did enjoy everyone being on the same page for a brief moment though. I wish that we could get closer to that again without a terrible tragedy.
