A Hot August Night On CineStill 800T

Walking The Purdue Campus On A Hot August Night With CineStill 800T

During our last heat wave I went out to make some photos as the sun was going down and the heat wasn’t so bad. Once the sun was fully down I put some CineStill 800T into my Canon AE-1. I wanted to play around with this film and see what it could do. What better way to test it out than to photograph things that I have photographed many times before? I love the halation around the lights and what it help do to an image like the one above. I really like the idea of this film, and I need to play around with it a little more.

More Photos From My Hot Walk

So far in this film adventure my kryptonite has been when the sun goes down. I hoped that a faster speed film would help me out. I was using a tripod for these images, but I still did not have a cable release. I think that now that I have a cable release it will help me out even more. I have one last roll of CineStill from my initial batch so I need to get out and use it. I really love how it looks when it hits. Below are a few bonus photos from my walk around campus. They are not all portfolio pieces, but they were fun to make.
