Three Cameras At The Native American Village – Part Four

Another Look At My Fun With Three Cameras At The Native American Village

Over the course of the last week or so I have been going through some of my images from the native american village at Prophetstown State Park. I took three cameras with me on the trip. One was my ‘regular’ setup with a Sony A7R3 and a 24-105mm lens on it. The other camera was my infrared converted Sony A7R3 with a 28-200mm lens on it. The third camera was my Canon AE-1 with a Canon FD 35mm lens on it. The is a great way to see what your cameras/films are best at. Take a look at four images that I made on my trip to the village below.

Picking My Favorite

This is the fun part. The top image was made with my film camera and Kodak Ektar film. The second image was again with the film camera and Lomography 100 film. The third image was made with my infrared camera, and the last image was made with my ‘regular’ setup. I don’t think that any of the images are bad, but there is one that I like much more than the others. The infrared black and white image stands out to me here. I think that if the clouds had been over this structure for the Ektar image the way that they are for the Lomo 100 image I would have had a harder decision. I like the look that the Lomo 100 film gives me in some situations, but this is one where I don’t know if it works for me. Part of the fun of this whole thing though is experimenting and finding what does work. Which photo is your favorite?
