Another Dog N Suds Photo

Photographing Dog N Suds With CineStill 800t

I am just a step or two away from wearing a beanie in the summer to make photos. I have been watching too many YouTubers making film photos lately. One film that they use that really sounded interesting to me was CineStill 800t. In the photos that I saw it just had a certain look to it. With neon the halation was something that I really thought looked great. Of course the first photos that I made on CineStill were at Dog N Suds. The neon there was just screaming for some CineStill. I really love how this photo turned out. It just has an old time look to it that I really like.

Learning New Film

From what I had seen and read about this film it would act more like a 500 speed film than the 800 that is on the box. I set my camera up so that it would meter as if the film was 500. For most of the two rolls that I shot that worked fine. Here though I should have known that the lights would throw off the meter. The scene was a little blown out, but Lightroom saved the day and gave me the photo that I was looking for. Early on in this adventure the fun has been trying out new film to see what it would do. I am slowly finding favorites though that might just be in the rotation most of the time.
