Another Look At Three Cameras At The Native American Village
Yesterday I took a look at three images that I made on the same trip to Prophetstown. I took three cameras with me. One was my ‘regular’ setup with a Sony A7R3 and a 24-105mm lens on it. The other camera was my infrared converted Sony A7R3 with a 28-200mm lens on it. The third camera was my Canon AE-1 with a Canon FD 35mm lens on it. I had a great time just taking my time making images with all three cameras. This was a fun little exercise for me that I hope you enjoy.
Picking My Favorite
Here you have a couple of choices of this shed. The top image was made with my film camera loaded with Lomography Color Negative 100 film. The second image is still with the film camera, but the Kodak Ektar film. The black and white image was made with my infrared camera, and the final image is the ‘regular’ image with my Ektar preset on it. For this scene I think that the infrared image is by far my favorite. The trees going to white in the infrared image helps the barn stand out that much more. Part of the fun of photography is learning what the strengths and weaknesses are of your equipment. A trip like this one really helps me learn that much quicker what they can and cannot do. Seeing the images together like this is a great way of finding what I like and don’t like about them. Which one do you like the best?
