Finding The Quiet Little Moments
When I walk campus I always have some ideas of what I want to photograph as I walk. I also like to try and find the little moments that I couldn’t predict. Here are the Pharmacy building I found one of those moments. I wish that the person would have been on the other bench in more light, but I still like the idea of this photo. For some reason I never like my photos of the Pharmacy building. The little addition in frame of the person thought made this one of the photos I was excited to see when my film came back.
Trying Some New Film
On the photowalk I was on I tried out a couple different kinds of film. One at of them was the Ilford HP5 that you see in the photo above. There is something about that film that gave everything an older look to me. Part of the fun that I am having with film photography right now is experimenting with different kinds of film to learn what it looks like in different situations. Once I have a good idea of what it can do then I can plan my photowalks with that in mind. Knowing how these photos turned out gave me some ideas for a future photowalk.
