Finally Getting To Use Some Ektar Film
One of my favorite presets to use in Lightroom is an Ektar clone that I have modified a little. Last week my bridge photo that I posted here used that preset. I love the look that the preset gives me for my photos. I was very excited to load up my Canon AE-1 with some Ektar to see what I could make with it. At the beginning of the roll I was using it in places where maybe any film can shine. The last frames of the rolls thought I used at Prophetstown State Park at the native american village that they had there. Here I thought it shined, and it made the wait to use Ektar worth it. As I type this I have another roll ready to go when the sun will be out.
Getting That Text That The Film Is Ready
As I was uploading my volleyball photos Friday afternoon I got the text that my film had been processed and was uploaded to the website. I had reservations about sending my film across the country at first, but everything that I have read said that The Darkroom was the place to get it developed. A week after I made the final images that I sent in I was already looking at them. To me that is an amazing turnaround. I was very excited to see that after the first three rolls where I did not do so good I had a much better hit rate with these next five rolls. I am sure that over the course of the next week or so that you will start to see more of what I was able to capture with some new film stocks for me. I even had some fun using some expired film to see what it would do for me.
