Photographing College Volleyball Again

Yesterday afternoon I was back in Holloway Gymnasium again photographing for Creighton athletics. Creighton started off a little slow, but then turned it on to win in straight sets. That slower start actually led to some photos that I really liked with emotion. It was great being in Holloway again. I have almost always spent part of the weekend around my birthday in Holloway making photos. This year they really changed things up and made it a three day event which is kind of cool. In the past before Holloway had AC we would sweat it out on Friday with four matches happening during the day. This more spread out approach would be a little better for photographing volleyball. While it was cool to be back in Holloway again and see some familiar faces this match didn’t have the Holloway feel to it. It was the match before Purdue played so the band and crowd were not present. I need to get down to Holloway with a packed house this year to really see the real gym again.
