A Quick Turnaround With Kodak Ultramax 400
I put this film into my camera before the farmers market in West Lafayette. By the next afternoon I was sending it in to get developed. At this pace I will be broke, but luckily for me those first three rolls were just for fun and to see what I could and couldn’t do with the camera. The funny thing is that from the entire roll of film my favorite photo was the last one that I took of the wall at the post office where I was sending the film in from.
A Little Failure Never Hurt Anyone
If you are a photographer there is a certainty. You are going to fail. It is probably going to happen a lot. Early on it seems like it happens more than it does later on. I used to let those failures really get to me. After a while though you start to callous up and they don’t hurt so much. Photographing with film has brought me back to those days where I am failing quite a bit. On this roll of film I only had 17 photos that I was somewhat happy with. I am still struggling a bit with the focus, and anything at night was still an utter failure. The good news though is that it is only up from here. There was some improvement in these three rolls, and that is all that you can ask for. Here are a couple of images that I liked from this roll.
