One Last Game With The 2023 Lafayette Aviators

In 2019 for fun I asked if I could make photos of the Aviators from the field. I love baseball, and summer ball can be really fun. This is now the fourth year that I have made photos for the team. This is the third year in the new Loeb Stadium. Every year I have a blast being at the park all summer. It is fun every year to watch the players show up as strangers and leave as teammates. The final night is always a bittersweet one. It means that my baseball is over for the year. It also means that I will not see many of these players again. This year there were a few photographers at the field. Hopefully we gave them some photos that will remind them of their time in Lafayette.

More Photos From The Night

I went into the final night with the mentality that I would not make many action photos. I wanted to concentrate and having some fun and using my small glass to make more images of the players from the bench. This was the last game, but this is not the last post from this season. I made some photos with my Canon AE-1 at a couple of games so when the film comes back there will be some new Aviator photos to check out on the blog. For now though here are a few bonus photos from Saturday night’s game.
