Seeing Indiana One Last Time

Heading To The Theater To See Indiana Jones

A couple of nights ago it was too hot to make photos so I went down to the theater to finally see the latest Indiana Jones movie. As a kid I was obsessed with the first two movies. Then the third one came out and I was obsessed with that one as well. As an adult they released another Indiana Jones movie and it was what it was. The new movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny came out just before our trip to Cincinnati. I didn’t get to it right away, and to be honest I stayed away for a while because it could be bad. So it took nearly a month, but I finally made it to the theater just before it was going to go away. Of course right now everyone is seeing Oppenheimer and/or Barbie so I had the entire theater to myself for the showing. With all of my friends around me I sat back and watched the new movie. Before I went into the theater I made this photo of the exterior with some nice light. There are some big movies playing here all at once. With the way movies have been performing lately this might be the last time there are four big budget movies playing at once. I thought that having some of those movie posters in the frame would show that time in history.

One Last Photo

I have seen all of the movies in the theater, and that John Williams score hits different in there for sure. As the Raiders March was playing at the end I couldn’t leave the theater. When I finally did I walked out the side door and saw the frame above. I didn’t have my Sony so I just made the photo with my phone. For what this photo is it is fine. A memory of finally finishing a story 42 years after starting it. As a kid I thought that I would end up traveling to find artifacts. In a way with my photography I have done that to a very small degree. As I turn into an artifact myself it was nice to see Dr. Jones on the big screen one last time.
