Spending Some Time At The Purdue Arch
I was down in the Levee one night making some photos when the sky looked like it could absolutely light up. I made my way to campus to make a photo of the arch as the sun set. When the sky looks so good so close to sunset it can go a few ways. Of course the best case scenario is that the sky just lights up. In this case it went the other way and the clouds fizzled out just before they would have lit up. The thing is though that if you got that great sunset photo every time that you tried it would not be so special. What makes those great photos so great is the time that you spent leading up to them. Maybe next time out will be that special sunset.
The Friends You Meet Along The Way
While I was waiting for the light I met a couple of people that were passing through. They were both on interesting wheeled transportation and they both were into photography. It is always great to meet others on campus with the same interest as me. I would love to have another photowalk so that we could all just meet and share our interest. I usually wait for something to come along to prompt me to try and organize one, but maybe this time I could just do this on my own.
