A Summer Day At University Hall

Trying Out The Infrared At University Hall

Saturday afternoon I went for walk on campus. Before heading back to the car I stopped by the memorial mall to make a photo. When I was on campus earlier in the week the sun was setting being University Hall. I knew that with the light higher in the sky that this could be a cool photo so I made a note to come back when the light was better. As I was making this photo I knew that it was looking how I hoped it might. I love it when the photo turns out how I hoped that it might.

The Tamron 28-200mm Lens

I have had about a month with the Tamron 28-200mm lens now, and I can happily say that my opinion on it has not changed very much. I bought it to have a good zoom lens on my infrared camera as I went on a photo walk. By having two decent zoom lenses with a wide range it allows me to jump back and forth between infrared photography and photography with my regular cameras. Not having to switch up lenses in the field as much means less dust on my sensor and less time editing the photos to remove the dust. That time over the course of a year probably adds up to what I paid for the lens. It is very sharp and worth every penny that I paid for it. If you need a walk around lens then it wouldn’t hurt to try this one out.
