The House Of Adam Building In Cincinnati, Ohio

While out walking one night in Cincinnati I saw this building down the road. We were headed to eat in the other direction, but I stopped quickly to make this photo. I love these old signs that you find in big cities. Businesses that have been around for so long that the sign has a certain look to it. Depending on how you look at it this sign has a good ending. The store was opened in 1955 and closed in 2016. You could look at the closing as a sad thing, but the store had a long run.

Letting The Whites Go White

In the past I would never have made this photo. The building was in shade and the background was very bright. As I made it though I knew that it would be a black and white image, and that I would let that sky go white. On the spot I debated making the photo, and I am glad that I did. I was able to capture a moment in time for this store.
