Having Some Fun With The John Wooden Statue
Sunday night I took a walk on campus. I parked near Mackey and walked in past the stadium. On my way in to campus I made the photo above of the John Wooden statue. I wanted to make something different than I have before. I had my 10 stop ND filter on the camera which let me make a 30 second exposure with a lot of light still out. That let the clouds streak by above the Wooden Statue. I really like how this turned out, and it was certainly much different than what I have done before.
Having Some Fun On The Way Back
On my way back to the car the sun had already set. We were in blue hour, and the moon was hanging out above the John Wooden statue. I put the 12-24mm lens on my camera and tried to do something different again. In the span of a couple of hours I had made a couple of different photos of this statue that I really liked. I had just made baseball photographs for 27 innings over the last two days. I was pretty tired, but I still went out and tried to exercise the creative muscle a little. I am glad that I did. I don’t know how many more ways that I can photograph this statue. Over the years it seems like I have tried it all. While editing these photos I came up with one more way to try. As with most photography we will have to wait and see if that works at all. Hopefully it does, and I can share one more photo with you this summer.
