Opening Night For The Lafayette Aviators

Tonight the Lafayette Aviators open up their 2023 season. For the past few years I have been lucky enough to make photos at the old and now the new Loeb Stadium. Part of the fun of every season is watching the team grow into a team over the summer. Right now they are a bunch of players from all over who for the most part are just meeting. By the end of the season you see players that have formed friendships and really become a team. This is always a very fun time of year for me, and I can’t wait to get things going.

Summer Scheduling Fun

My little one has a game tonight that starts just after this one does. I love watching her games so I will be there until it is over. Last year I did the same thing with my oldest and got to the park just in time to see the Aviators walk it off. Hopefully we can have some opening day magic again this year. It is always hard to miss the start of opening day, but this will be a long season, and I will have plenty of chances to see this team play. It will be fun to get a short glimpse of this team tonight though.
