Finding Another View Of The Christmas Tree At The Purdue Memorial Union

Yesterday before grabbing lunch with a friend on campus I stopped by the Union to try an idea out. My idea of course did not pan out as cool as I hoped it would. I really wanted another take on this Christmas tree. I think that I make the same photo every year. With idea #1 scrapped I had to think of something else quickly. I decided to try to just capture the top of the tree from the second level. I am sure that this has been done before, but at some point I am sure that everything has been done to document the tree at the Union. It was a different photo for me so I am pleased with how it came out.

Using The Building For Framing

I like the way that the arch frames the tree here. You get a nice little window right to the tree, and the lines of the ceiling lead you right to the tree. This may not win any awards, but it was a nice way to get out and try a few things with a little extra time.
