Michelle Manning Helps Upset #1 Penn State

For much of this game both sides had great chances, but could not capitalize on them. Then Michelle Manning scored on a hard fought ball to give Northwestern a 1-0 lead. They held onto the lead to start their tournament off with a huge upset over #1 Penn State. I did not give the #8 seed much of a chance at the beginning of the game, but it was great to see them pull off the win. After the game the team put their hero up to celebrate here. This will be hard to beat for my favorite shot of the tournament.

I am looking forward to the games as the night goes on. The light for the next one should be fantastic.
