Focusing on the Little Things
While out with the family getting ready for Halloween I was in this barn at Exploration Acres buying all of the loot from the day. When I stepped out of the barn I noticed the beautiful texture up against a great sky. I made a quick photo before carrying the loot to the car. I have said many times on this blog that I am a completionist. I have worked very hard to rid my mind of those thoughts of including the entire barn. At the end of the day the entire barn is not as cool as this little part of it was. This was the photo, and I am glad that I was able to make it.
Joining Other Like Minded Individuals
Yesterday I went in and made it official that I would be a part of Second Level Studios in Lafayette. I had met with the owner Brian Powell last week, and I was impressed. Today I met with him again, and I also was able to meet Janet one of the other members. This is a great collective that will allow me to do some things in a studio setting that I would not normally have been able to do. I have been studying studio work for a while now, and you can only do so much out of your home. This will allow me to have a space to make some of the photos that I have been cooking up. This does not mean that I am finished with my sports work, but it is part of a plan to scale it back a bit. You have to go where the work is, and so far this is the direction that I have been in lately.
