Shooting More Than the Game

Last weekend while shooting the match in Mackey I kept looking around for things other than the match to capture. This was a big event, and I wanted to show some of that. When I first started seeing the big heads show up at games I was not a fan. Now I usually make a picture or two when they come out. Purdue Pete makes a very interesting big head. His head is already big so this is probably closer to life size than anything. My one regret is that while some fans were excited, most of them in this shot are not. Today during the football game I will have to be on the lookout for some fans who are into the game.

Homecoming Weekend

This is a big weekend on campus. Homecoming is a time for old friends to catch up. The university has packed the weekend with sports as well. Last night the volleyball team won their Big Ten opener with Michigan. The soccer team lost a 1-0 game to Minnesota as well. Today you have football at noon and volleyball as a nightcap. I think that in addition to the football game today I will cover the soccer game tomorrow. We will have to see how the weekend shakes out I guess.
