Making Some Pictures in Downtown North Judson
A few weeks ago while coming back to West Lafayette I stopped off in North Judson, IN to make some photos. I was actually driving to make a picture of one of the churches in town when I saw this great downtown corner. I had the 17-35mm lens on my camera which I felt was perfect here. It gave a slightly distorted perspective that I really like. I love these little looks into small towns. The clouds help make this one a little more dramatic than normal.
Editing the Photo in Lightroom 5
For this photo I knew exactly how I would edit it. I started out with the strong HDR Look preset in Lightroom. From there I adjusted the vibrance to bring out some more of the color. What is also brings to the photo is a lot of clarity. I did not want that clarity in the sky. It does wonders for the buildings and the street, but it just brings noise to the sky. I used the adjustment brush to basically rid the sky of the clarity. From there it was just a simple matter of publishing the photo.

Nice pov, and that red really pops!
Thank you very much
