Photo of the Day
A couple of summers ago I had a friend get married in Indianapolis. The night before his wedding I had some time to walk around the canal and river area making some pictures. I was blessed with a great sunset, and the colors in the sky were great. This is one example of why you should not always stare into the sunset. Turn around, and you can be treated with a great view. The colors behind you in the sky can be beautiful in a more subtle way.
Technical Data
While clearing some memory cards in preparation for a busy weekend I came across these old files. When I made the images I would just use Photomatix to HDR everything. To process this image I took the metered exposure of the three that I made that night and just used the power of Lightroom to edit it. When I made the picture I was just using the free trial of Lightroom 3. I have since come to rely too heavily on the program. I used the HDR Look preset here to give the photo the look that I like. Just a little over the edge of reality. I am glad that I found Lightroom, and my images are as well.
