Photo of the Day
Last night I photographed the Purdue baseball game against Butler. There comes a point in every baseball game when you feel as if you have it all covered. You have some fielding shots. You have good coverage of the pitcher. At this time I usually try and guess where the ball is going to end up. Every now and then though I try something a little different. With the batter in the shadows I wanted to try and stop the ball halfway to home. As fast as it moves it is not an easy chore, and getting the writing to show the way that it did here was just a stroke of luck. I think that as the season progresses I may have a chance to stop the ball in a spot of light coming through the stadium with both the pitcher and batter in shadows. I am shooting two games this weekend so I will see what I can do. My best bet will be Friday night as the Boilers take on Michigan.
Bonus Photos
My gallery from the game can be seen on PurdueSports.com here. I thought that I would include a couple of bonus shots here that I liked from the celebration as well. When you win in the 10th on a walk off you know that some good pictures will be somewhere on the field. These two shots were probably just two of many that I could have made.
