Photo of the Day

This past weekend was very full. I had planned to post a picture from the roller derby game earlier, but I wanted to finish putting all of my derby related things together. For some reason I have decided that for derby I would try a bunch of things at once which sounds great, but just adds to the workload after the bout. I have gotten it down to a science though. This photo was one that I stumbled upon, but was glad to make. The Brawlin’ Dolls set up a new photo booth at the game so that fans could make and share images from their night. I saw what was happening, and hurried up to get into position. Thankfully people are nice, and don’t mind me breathing down their neck to get the shot. The action shots from the bout are great, but I love these little moments much more.

Bonus Photos

Ok so here is where it gets fun. I have posted a little over 250 photos on my Facebook page here. They are not the nice high res images that I like to show everyone, but they are what Facebook allows me to publish. For this game I also put together another Exposure page. I love recapping the bout in long form this way. It lets me use my photos in a way that has a little punch to it. The same photos on this site would not look as nice. You can view the site here. I have branched out to trying a little basketball and baseball, but I think it has more potential for those two sports than I have used. I have an idea for a long form baseball post on there, but I need to set a couple of things up first. I would like to find a team that would give me the access to shoot some things that you normally do not see during a game.

Time-lapse Video

Once again I have made a time-lapse video from the bout. I wanted to show the set up and takedown of the venue, but for some reason it just seemed long. I might just go back to just showing the four hour block that I am at the venue on the day of the bout. The video is below, let me know what you think.
