Photo of the Day
It took a couple of years, but I finally worked a Strange Brew quote into a blog title. When I was in Chicago a couple of weeks ago I made sure that I spent part of the first day at the Art Institute. The inspiration that you can get there is priceless. The second morning was a little rainy so after making some pictures using the rain to my advantage I made my way to the Shedd Aquarium to make some pictures there. If you had told me that the highlight of my photographic day would be photographing jellyfish I would have thought you were crazy. That is before I saw them in person. They really are great fun to photograph because they are so beautiful. I am sure that a few more jellys will show up on this site before the end of the year.
Technical Data
For this photo I just performed a small crop to it. The lighting and the background were so well done on site that I really did not have to do anything but capture it.
Exposure Update
Last night I updated my Exposure page. I created a new page showing some of my images from the three game home series that Purdue Baseball had against Penn State. You can find a link to that new page here.

Too funny. I went there that same weekend and thought the exact same thing. Jellies were a highlight.
I read your tweet about the jelly and laughed. I had the same revelation the day before. It is funny how things work, but they were by far the best thing I photographed in that aquarium.
Yeah, I was disappointed with most of my Shedd shots. I did snap some weird shrimp thing that turned out really cool.
