Photo of the Day
Yesterday I had an interesting day. It started off early in the morning shooting a 5k. From there it was on to shoot some Purdue tennis. After getting what I needed there I then went to the baseball stadium to shoot a doubleheader. Once I was done there it was on to my final assignment for the day which was a banquet at the Union. It was a long day, but one that was very rewarding. At each stop I had to keep up the energy, and make the best pictures that I could. With the new 300mm lens that was not a problem. I shot with just the 300 for while, but I also tried a few other things. During the first game I put the doubler on the lens to see what shooting at 600mm is like. You really have to frame carefully as that is a lot of lens. During the second game I put my 1.4x converter onto the lens to shoot at 420mm for a while. With the light on your side there really are a lot of options here. The main shot of this post above was taken with the doubler on the lens from the concourse of the stadium. You really have a lot of reach.
Bonus Photos
My photo gallery for the game is up here at Purduesports.com. Below are a few pictures that didn’t make it into the gallery that I liked. One of them is the frozen ball trick which I have wanted to try for a while, but have not had the lens to make it happen.
