Photo of the Day
Last night I was at the Indy Eleven friendly versus the Chicago Fire at the Purdue Soccer Complex. The idea of shooting a professional soccer match was exciting for me. I decided to start the match on the roof of the soccer complex to get some shots that nobody else was getting. I wanted an overall scene setter, but I also wanted to try and capture some midfield action from up there. With no pressure of getting photos it was nice to just try something new. I did end up back behind the goal to try a few things out. I made some images with my 60D when the light was good enough, but quickly changed to the 5DIII when the light faded. The high ISO on the 5D really helps out. One thing that I noticed was how outgunned I was when it came to lenses. The pros really bring the gear. I just made the pictures that I could make, and at the end of the day I was happy with my take.
Bonus Photos
I only shot for the first half, but here are some images that I liked from that half.
