Photo of the Day
Last night I went down to Indy to photography the Purdue baseball game against Butler. The game was supposed to be played here in West Lafayette, but the field here was unplayable. With the winter that we have had many fields are not up to playing condition. In Chicago the field at U.S. Cellular is not up to playing shape yet, and they have one of the best in the business working on it. No matter what getting in your first baseball game of the year is a great thing. I have been waiting a while for this day to come. The weather was not ideal for baseball, but you still play the game.
Bonus Photos
Here are a few more photos from the game that I liked. I rented a Tamron 200-500mm lens just to see what it could do. I know that I could never use it at night, but if people use it for wildlife why couldn’t I use it for sports. What I found out was that if my subject was at a certain distance and not moving the lens worked fine. It was a bit too clunky to really use it to track sports quickly. I still think that it has potential for wildlife though. A gallery of my images can be found here on PurdueSports.com. Anyway here are a few photos from the game.
