Photo of the Day
A couple of days ago I went back down to the Wabash to look for eagles. I really think that I have been shut out this year, but there is still time. I did find some geese that were hanging out on the banks of the Wabash. This portion of the river is now much deeper as the level has really risen since Wednesday. I saw this lone goose just standing on the root of a tree that had been knocked over. I loved the reflection in the water of the goose. This could have been really great if I had my ND filter with me. Smoothing out the water would have made the reflection much nicer. I may have lost the sharpness of the goose in the process though.
Technical Data
As I said yesterday the river was very brown and muddy. No color photo would look nice of the river right now. I converted this to black and white using the light black and white HDR preset for Lightroom 5 by Matt Kloskowski. It really gives me a look that I really like. A little tweaking and the photo was ready for the web.
