Photo of the Day
A couple of nights ago I noticed that the sky in our back yard was lit up. This is the opposite direction of the sunset so I knew that something awesome had to be happening out our front windows. I looked out, and sure enough it was a gorgeous sunset. I grabbed my camera to make a couple of pictures of it. My 5 year old step-daughter grabbed hers too. Mine is a 5D Mark III and hers is a Fisher Price. We both took pictures of the sunset, and then compared them. We had a great time making the pictures together, and once again photography has brought us a bit closer.
Technical Data
For my picture most of the work was done in camera. I didn’t want the tops of the neighbors houses to show up in the photo so I underexposed to black out the trees and house tops. That left me with the sky properly exposed. In Lightroom 5 I pumped up the vibrance a bit, and I adjusted the blacks. That was the extent of the work on this photo. For my step-daughters photo I really could not do much to it. It is such a low resolution file that not much could be done to it. It is pretty good as shot though. Below is that photo that she took.

Gorgeous. So much beauty to enjoy.
Thank you very much
Wonderful perspective of technology. You may have just sparked the interest in the young photographer’s mind.
I hope so. She seems to really enjoy going along on my photo safaris. We may have to take her camera next time.
