Photo of the Day
Last night I photographed the Lafayette Brawlin’ Dolls as they faced the Naptown Third Alarm for their first home WFTDA bout. They won fairly easily giving them their first WFTDA win. Photographing roller derby is interesting for sure. You have the standard shots of the jammer like you see above. The challenge though is getting the pack shot that is different. Usually you only have a slim window before your subject gets covered up. It makes every bout different and exciting to shoot. The next bout is April 12th again at home. Come on out and enjoy some roller derby!

This section is a bit different today. I will post a few shots that I liked from the bout, but you can also click here to see the Facebook gallery that I have posted. For some reason Facebook decided that about 50 of the photos that I had in the folder to upload should not go into the album. I quit the uploader once to try again. It randomly picked around 50 photos again to exclude. It is a weird tick in their program that has been there since the opening bout of the season. It picked a few photos then to exclude. Here are a few photos that I liked from the bout.
