Photo of the Day
Today is Abe Lincoln’s birthday. Two hundred and five years ago this great man was born in Kentucky. He made a couple of stops, including Indiana, on his way to his final residence in Washington, DC. I don’t think that I have to talk about what a great man Abe was. That is pretty much a given. What I can talk about is how far his reach really goes. You really can’t go very far without seeing some sort of a tribute to him. The small town that I grew up in had one main road in town. It of course was called Lincolnway. One of our elementary schools was Lincoln Elementary. The Lincoln Highway runs through the lower part of the county. Of course the entire country sees Lincoln every time they pull out a penny or a five dollar bill. He really has found immortality partially because of his early demise.
Technical Data
This was a very simple edit. I used the HDR Look (medium) preset in Lightroom. I then performed a small white balance adjustment. The auto white balance in my camera is good, but sometimes it can be a bit off. A simple slider adjustment fixes this.
